Training by practicing I found a lot of value in this book and the accompanying DVD, since there’s no better way to learn than by doing, and this book guides you through the editing process of a short film in order to teach you the basics of Final Cut X. My only two complaints are that (1) the timing didn’t always sync up with what they said it was supposed to be. Usually, it was close enough though. (2) was perhaps the bigger issue, which was that the finished sample edit that comes with the film (useful if you…
