  2. Badly written and an unbelievable plot A reason why I tend to prefer science fiction movies is that there is little pretense to representing reality. With The Commuter one has to believe that an insurance salesperson meets clients in a corporate office and is going paycheck to paycheck despite living in a million dollar house and his wife driving a $85,000 BMW SUV.
